Tax Return For Non-Residents

We have a client who was resident in New Zealand for less than 180 days during the 2018 year. Do we still need to file a tax return for him?

Answer

Normally, there is no need to file a tax return if the person is not a NZ tax resident. However, there may have been withholding tax deducted so you may wish to review.
